Christy D. Hofsess, Ph.D, is a licensed psychologist and educator whose clinical, research, and teaching knowledge and skills are demonstrated in her passion for supervision/training, multiculturalism, and mind-body wellness. She is broadly committed to working with people raised in the dominant and majority culture to improve communication and relationships with people who are culturally diverse.

She has experience training mental health professionals building cultural competence and incorporates a holistic and strengths-based approach in her trainings. She blends her clinical skills and understanding of individual, group, and systems dynamics with a style that is empathic, focused, and engaging. She is a faculty member and clinical training director for an integrative counseling and nutrition masters program at Bastyr University and is also co-founder of a Seattle-based company that provides counseling and consulting services. Prior to her graduate training in psychology, she worked in health care administration.
