Port of Seattle

The Port of Seattle is divided into two operating divisions: the Aviation Division manages both the business and operations of Seattle-Tacoma International Airport, and the Seaport Division that encompasses six distinct lines of business (Container Terminals, Central Waterfront Piers and Properties, Cargo Piers and Industrial Properties, Shilshole Bay Marina, Fishermen’s Terminal and Warehouse and Distribution). Additionally, there are 12 internal operating departments.

How we helped

After helping senior level directors develop the Business Case for Diversity and Best Practices for the Port, EDS worked with the Aviation Maintenance Division to develop and implement first and second-level diversity training for all staff, and to develop cultural competency with Division Managers.

“EDS provided valuable insight and creative energy to our executive teams planning process. We came away with a clear vision and case for Diversity at the Port. Their critical expertise helped us identify Best Practices that will enable us to reach our goals.”
