Community Transit
A regional transportation provider since 1976, this organization provides bus, vanpool,
car pool, and ride matching. In 2000, more than 7.3 million people rode Community Transit
local and commuter rounds. The organization employs over 500 direct employees and almost
300 contract employees. It has the third largest vanpool program in the United States,
with 259 vans on the road.
How we helped
Beginning with an organizational culture audit, EDS helped develop a
diversity training curriculum for all staff, trained internal trainers to provide the
training on an ongoing basis, and has continued to assist the organization through facilitation
of the diversity council.
